Have you ever been in the situation when you knife just isn’t cutting it? Seams to be smashing, tearing rather than cutting? Normally you would need to have this knife sharpened.
To prove it, the common test of slicing a piece of paper will show if your knife doesn’t cut very well. Take a piece of regular printer paper and try slicing it with the knife. If it tears the paper instead of cutting it, it’s time to sharpen the knife.
Do you have a sharpener? No? No problem! Just grab an coffee mug. Any old coffee mug will do.
Run the knife blade along the unglazed porcelain on the bottom of the coffee mug. Hold the knife at a 30 degree angle and draw the blade lightly across. All you want to do is clean the edge of the knife and you’re done!

Here’s a quick test to find out if your silver coin is fake.
A small drop of silver testing solution on the test coin will tell you if the coin made of real silver. This solution is available from Amazon for about $5 a bottle. You don’t need much. One bottle should be enough to test many coins.
Here’s how it works:
- the testing solution will change color significantly when applied to a fake silver coin.
- the testing solution will not change color at all on the real silver coin.
- the testing solution will show some discoloration when applied to a coin with low percentage of silver.
WARNING: this test will destroy the value of any collectible coin. Do it only with scrap coins or with coins without numismatic value.
Make sure to use rubber gloves and eye protection while working with the solution. These are dangerous chemicals.

Did you know that it’s possible to fix small car dents yourself? Here’s a cool trick explaining how to remove the car dent with a regular a hair dryer and can of compressed air.
Most likely you already have the hair dryer at home and compressed air (computer duster) should be available in any local home improvement or computer store.
The dent removal technique is pretty simple. Heat up the damaged area with the hair dryer for a minute or two. After that turn the can with compressed air upside down and spray it on the dent.
If the damage is not too bad it should pop up back into the normal position.
Unfortunately, this trick doesn’t work on all car dents. But should be a good remedy for small dents.

Why would I pay a few hundred dollars for the Microsoft Office suite if I need it just once in a while?
The OpenOffice suite works with files created with Microsoft Office. In other words, if you have an Excel or Word file created with Microsoft Office you can edit it with OpenOffice. Isn’t it great?

Gold touched $1000/oz again today. Will it go through the roof and hit $2000 or goes down to $500?
Inflation or deflation?

What antivirus software do you use? Which one works best for you?
I’m an advanced computer user and tried many different antivirus software over the last few years. From my experience I can tell that NOD32 antivirus system is one of the best out there. It’s very light, fast and reliable.
Norton antivirus? Sucks out too much resources from my system and kinda slow.
McAfee antivirus? Even slower than Norton.
I’m telling you. Try NOD32 and you’ll never go back.

My Honda Accord was totaled in a car accident. It was rear-ended by a silver Suzuki while I was driving to work.
The funny thing is that we didn’t call police but they appeared in about 5 minutes after the accident happened. Without even getting out of his car, the police officer said we must leave the freeway as soon as possible and exchange our insurance information somewhere else. And… he drove away!
I didn’t want to cause trouble to all those people stuck in morning traffic because of our accident and offered to the other driver to exchange our insurance information in a safer place. How stupid was that!!! Do you know what happened? Yep, she just drove away and I couldn’t follow her because of enormous amount of car around me.

I got tired of signing new 2-year contracts with T-Mobile which is required if you want to upgrade your older cell phone to a newer one. I woudn’t unpgrade my phone just for fun but it started failing and I needed a new one.
Prices without any contract or even with a 1-year contract are outrageous! T-Mobil (like any other company) will not give you a discount unless you sign up for a 2-year contract. Screw that!

I think that a cruise vacation is one of the best possible vacations for families. I took my family to cruise vacation two times already. In 2008 we cruised to Mexican Riviera on Golden Princess ship (Princess Cruises) and in 2009 we cruised to the same location on Norwegian Star ship (Norwegian Cruise Lines). We all loved it very much. Great entertainments, plenty of food, interesting ports of call.
